Please Prioritize Full Hercules Commerce Support for Indonesia

Open Letter: Please Prioritize Full Hercules Commerce Support for Indonesia

Dear Hercules Team,

I respectfully ask Hercules to prioritize full support for Hercules Commerce in Indonesia.

Indonesia is not a marginal market. It is a vast, digitally connected archipelagic economy with strong demand from entrepreneurs, educators, professionals, SMEs, training institutions, and communities across thousands of islands.

Why Indonesia matters

  • Indonesia has 17,380 officially recorded islands with recognized names and coordinates.

  • Indonesia’s projected mid-year population in 2026 is 287,198,383 people.

  • The APJII 2026 survey estimates approximately 235.26 million internet users, representing 81.72% internet penetration—one of the world’s largest national internet markets.

  • Indonesia’s live government seafarer registry alone contains 1,652,254 records. This does not yet include millions of people working in fisheries, ports, logistics, shipbuilding, coastal businesses, and other maritime industries.

  • The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation’s latest explicitly published national count identified 101 maritime education and training institutions, including higher education institutions, polytechnics, academies, vocational schools, and training centers.

Indonesia therefore represents a substantial opportunity for Hercules—not only for conventional e-commerce but also for education, professional training, maritime services, digital products, course registration, small-island enterprises, and locally developed applications.

Requested capabilities

Please consider providing:

  1. Indonesia is an officially supported merchant country;

  2. Indonesian rupiah—IDR—pricing, payment, refund, and settlement;

  3. Support for QRIS, bank virtual accounts, cards, transfers, and major Indonesian e-wallets;

  4. Native or documented integrations with licensed Indonesian payment providers;

  5. Indonesian-language checkout and customer-facing interfaces;

  6. Support for Indonesian addresses, telephone numbers, postal codes, invoices, and applicable tax fields;

  7. Local shipping and logistics integration options;

  8. A beta program for Indonesian developers and merchants.

If full native support requires additional time, please publish an Indonesia readiness roadmap that covers technical requirements, regulatory scope, supported payment rails, beta participation, and an indicative implementation timeline.

Indonesia should not be treated as a small edge case. Supporting Indonesia would open Hercules Commerce to one of the world’s largest connected populations and to an economy where low-code commerce could solve genuine geographical and market-access barriers.

We are ready to participate in a beta program, provide structured feedback, and demonstrate practical Indonesian use cases—particularly in education, maritime services, professional training, and SME digitalization.

Thank you for considering Indonesia in the Hercules Commerce expansion roadmap.

Respectfully,

An Indonesian Maritime Educator and Entrepreneur
