Feature Request: Version History & One-Click Restore for Apps

Hi Hercules team,

I’ve been enjoying building apps with Hercules and wanted to share a feature idea that could improve the development experience.

Feature Suggestion: Built-in Version History

It would be incredibly useful to have automatic version history for every project, allowing users to:

  • View previous versions of an app

  • Compare changes between versions

  • Restore any previous version with a single click

  • Add optional version notes before major updates

  • Track AI-generated changes separately from manual edits

This would make it much safer to experiment with new prompts or features without worrying about losing a working version.

I think this would be especially valuable for teams collaborating on projects and for solo developers who iterate quickly.

Would anyone else find a built-in version history feature helpful? I’d love to hear how others currently manage project backups and revisions.

Apps built on Hercules currently have a version history that allows you to go back to previous versions at any time.
