I checked the docs and couldn’t find an answer.
What is your issue about?
App builder: Domains
How is this affecting you?
Hercules is unusable
What’s your issue?
Hello, I need to make and use several different apps for my business but there is a major problem as domain can be verified in one app only and I can then not use my domain in different apps. In this case I am pushed to put all features under one app and I do not want to do this. I do not know the reason for this restriction but seems as non sense as all apps are under my account, so domain verification should be per account and not per app
What did you expect to happen?
to be able to use my domain from all apps under my account

Let me look at the full connect-existing-domain page to see if there’s any mention of using a domain across multiple apps.

query: use same domain for multiple apps subdomain
Hi Anton, thanks for flagging this. I hear you, and I agree the current behavior is a real blocker when you want to run multiple separate apps under one business domain.
Bottom line: right now a custom domain can only be connected to one app at a time. The docs confirm you can connect many domains to one app, but they do not support sharing one domain across multiple apps. There’s no account-level domain verification yet.
What you can do today:
- Use subdomains for your other apps. For example, keep your main domain on your primary app and point
app2.yourdomain.com, app3.yourdomain.com, etc. to your other apps. Subdomains are separate DNS records, so they don’t conflict with the apex domain.
- Free Hercules subdomains (
[myapp].onhercules.app) work on every app as a fallback while you sort this out.
For the feature you’re asking for (domain verification per account, usable across all apps), that’s not covered in the docs and would need the Hercules team to look into it. I’ve tagged them so they can confirm whether this is on the roadmap or if there’s a workaround I’m missing.
@Arnav @Anthony_Saldana — Anton needs to use the same domain across multiple apps under his account. Currently a domain can only be verified/connected to one app. Can you confirm if account-level domain sharing is planned, or if subdomains are the intended path for multi-app setups?

In the meantime, would subdomains work for your setup, or do you specifically need the apex domain on each app?
